The following homes are all located near the north side of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, Paradise Foothills.
Modern looking desert home with some block, stucco and large windows. Picturesque mountain backdrop, mailbox closed in by steel sheets:
Fenced off larger home near Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Tasteful tile roof, stone accents, stucco and circular driveway:
Clean looking medium sized tan stucco home with an imposing stone chimney in the front. The most striking feature of this house is the finished wood garage door (three car garage):
This house near the Northern base of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve was interesting because it was obviously a nice house, but it was disguised otherwise since the outer stucco layer had been temporarily stripped. I am assuming that a new layer of stucco is not far off for this home, since it was otherwise very well maintained, and located in a very nice central Phoenix, natural-feeling desert community.
Aside from the obvious distraction provided by the remodeling, the house is very well designed structurally – in sync with the mountain it sits upon. There are some stone accented pillars setting off the lower level and a strategically placed, large windows on the upper floor. For anyone who wants a balance of seclusion from the city and interaction with the surrounding community, this would be the perfect house.
The Phoenix Mountain Preserve, located near the center of Phoenix, Arizona, has some of the best natural desert landscape that you will ever see. This park offers all the Sonoran rock, cactus and blistering heat any tourist could ever want to experience. What’s more, in the fall, winter and spring months, the weather is actually quite mild.
The Phoenix Mountain Preserve is free to all, very accessible and very enjoyable for any nature nut. I would highly recommend it for an easy picnic or hike, especially in the non-summer months.
